Jasson Dominguez has the perfect outlook for his newest Yankees reality

New York Yankees Jasson Dominguez has the perfect outlook for his newest Yankees reality By Greg Joyce Published June 15, 2026, 6:35 p.m. ET Yankees outfielder Jasson Domínguez reacts after a two-run home run. JASON SZENES FOR THE NEW YORK POST Jasson Domínguez needed an unhealthy amount of caffeine to get ready for his return to the Yankees on Saturday.

But now that his heart has survived the four shots of espresso, two Red Bulls and one pre-workout drink that he gulped down after a whirlwind Friday night into Saturday afternoon that started in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and ended in Toronto, Domínguez has a prime chance to help the Yankees survive their mounting injuries.

The 23-year-old seemed to have that opportunity last month, after Giancarlo Stanton landed on the injured list, until Domínguez joined him upon crashing into the outfield wall to make a catch and spraining the AC joint in his left shoulder.

By the time Domínguez returned on Saturday, though, the Yankees were also missing Aaron Judge for the foreseeable future with a stress fracture in his rib and Trent Grisham for a to-be-determined amount of time, with tests on Monday expected to give them more clarity on his hamstring strain. The new dynamic meant a new position for Domínguez, too, though he looked fine in his first two big league games in right field while immediately contributing with his bat.
