Add The New York Post on Google James Franco has left the internet baffled after appearing in a series of TikTok videos mysteriously talking about “crazy stuff going on”.
Franco disappeared from Hollywood back in 2018 after being at the centre of sexual misconduct allegations.
Since those allegations, he has remained away from the spotlight, ending his long-running friendship with collaborator Seth Rogen as a result.
The former A-list star has now appeared to have created a TikTok account, sharing a series of increasingly bizarre videos where he paces back and forth and acts oddly.
In one video, which fans have questioned as to whether it could be AI, he is seen wearing a blue shirt with the name “Bruce Robinson” written on it as he paces around the room.
“Hey guys, this is James Franco. Me, really James Franco. I’m here at my house. I’m not promoting anything, OK? I’m making this account because, all right, some serious, some serious sh*ts going on. OK, and look here, this is real. OK, I’m real. It’s me, not AI, not anything. OK? Could AI James do this?”
He then writes his new account name, @jamesfranco2319, on a piece of paper, before continuing: “This is me. OK. For those who know. All right. Some serious stuff going on; that’s why I’m contacting you, that’s why I’m doing this. OK? I know, I maybe seem crazy, like, why, what’s going on, what’s the gimmick? No, this is real. Real. OK, I can’t say too much right now. I just need you to follow me, then I’ll know who’s down, and I’m going to show you some crazy stuff. OK? Just follow me, I’m gonna, I’m going to show you.”
Meanwhile, Seth Rogen was recently asked about his longtime friendship with Franco, with whom he collaborated on a string of hit projects, including Pineapple Express, This Is the End and The Interview before publicly distancing himself from the actor following allegations that surfaced in 2018.
When asked how he navigated ending such an important friendship, Rogen acknowledged the topic remains deeply personal.
