This half-baked idea turned into a booming business. An Oslo apartment balcony has gone viral for doubling as a pizza restaurant. Petter Gran launched Pizza From a Balcony, where he lowers pies to customers in a wicker basket, two years ago. Now, what was once a side hustle boasts over 30 volunteers.

It’s a shady move. A popular beach in Sardinia has banned umbrellas for revelers between the ages of 10 and 65 as a safety precaution. Punta Molentis Beach will only allow families with children up to the age of 10 and seniors aged 65 and above to bring one umbrella only.

A 3,280-long hand-embroidered canopy has been installed over a Zapopan street in Guadalajara, Jalisco, as part of the host city’s World Cup decor. Dubbed the “Woven Sky,” the impressive creation took 200 women to make and hangs in the pedestrian walkway Andador 20 de Noviembre. The woven artwork pays homage to the teams playing there, Colombia, South Korea, Uruguay, Spain, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo and Mexico.

They want a slice of the action. A rare chimera apple, which is half red and half yellow from a genetic mutation and believed to occur in less than one in a million of the fruit, is causing people to flock to a grocery store. The Red Braeburn apple, which is at the Sunshine Corner Market in the Christchurch suburb of Mairehau, is causing an influx of customers, some who are even touching it for good luck.

The Canada Post announced that 485,000 addresses, mainly in Ontario and Quebec, will lose their home delivery subscriptions. In a move to save money, they will instead be delivered to community mailboxes in 2027. The switch is slated to take five years, but the transformation is said to be saving the paper $400 million a year.
