The newest season of Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias, out now, takes best friends Maddie, Dana Sue and Helen out of the familiar confines of Serenity, South Carolina and sees them traveling to New York City as Helen prepares for her wedding. Every episode of season five is out now. Also out now and ready for a binge is the brand-new romance series Every Year After on Prime Video, starring Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett. Netflix’s popular friendship dramedy Sweet Magnolias returns this week for its fifth season. The series stars Joanna Garcia Swisher, Heather Headley and Brooke Elliott as a trio of best friends from South Carolina who have been together since childhood and are now grown women going through new challenges in adulthood. This season, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Courtney Grace and Janice Wesley join the cast. All ten episodes of season 5 arrived on Thursday.
In the new romantic drama Every Year After, based on Carley Fortune’s Barry’s Bay book series, Persephone “Percy” Fraser (played by Sadie Soverall) reunites with her first love, Sam Florek (Matt Cornett) ten years after their youthful romance fell apart. Their love story is told over the course of six years and one week as they spend time in the quaint Canadian lake town of Barry’s Bay. All eight episodes of the show dropped on June 10.
This year, for the first time, music fans can catch a livestream of all four days of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN on both Disney+ and Hulu. (Hulu has been showing concerts and festivals for a few years now, but this year marks the first time Disney+ is on board.) You can tune in nightly between June 11-14 for performances and exclusive behind-the-scenes content and performer interviews.
