Add Page Six on Google James Handy’s cause of death has uncovered new details about his vicious murder, allegedly, at the hands of his longtime girlfriend’s son.
According to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s report obtained by TMZ, the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor’s death was a result of a stab wound to the torso, with “neck compression” being an added factor.
Neck compressions are often caused by age-related wear and tear in the nerves of the neck when they’re squeezed or put under abnormal pressure, per the National Institutes of Health.

The California Post reported that the “Jumanji” actor was found after authorities responded to a caller who stated, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”
Suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, Handy was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced dead there.
Shortly after, Michael — the son of Handy’s partner of 30 years, Wendy Gledhill — allegedly waved down officers and told them he was the one they were looking for, according to a news release from the LAPD.
He was ultimately arrested and charged with one count of murder. If convicted, he faces up to 26 years in prison.
Michael was living with the couple at the time of the stabbing.
