ShareSaveJonny Humphries,North WestandPhil Cunliffe,Manchester Crown CourtShareSaveBBCA teenager who murdered a 14-year-old boy while he was on his way to play football with friends has been detained for at least 11 years and 10 months.

Ibrahima Seck was stabbed in the heart in the New Moston area of Manchester on 8 June but was able to name his attacker before dying in hospital.

The killer, who was also 14 at the time, was found guilty of murder after a jury heard he boasted in a rap video about having "done a murder".

Two other boys, then aged 14 and 16, were convicted of manslaughter and were detained for two years and 10 months and two years and four months respectively.

Ibrahima had been chased by the three teenagers to a pub car park where he was fatally wounded.

Manchester Crown Court previously heard that prior to the attack there had been a brief scuffle between one of Ibrahima's friends and one of the boys in the other group.

None of the teenagers can be named due to their age after judge Mr Justice Bright rejected an application from the media to overturn reporting restrictions.

Two women, 37-year-old Keri Dobson and Naomi Heavnes, 39, were both convicted of assisting an offender by taking the teenagers away from the scene and providing a change of clothes.

The were each handed a 12-month prison term suspended for a year.

The judge told the killer: "This was not a planned event.

"It happened by chance and I agree you didn't intend to do grievous serious harm.
