Statham stars as as a former British government assassin who’s trying to live off the grid off the coast of Scotland. Of course, he can’t stay isolated for long, and he’s forced back into a life of violence while trying to protect a young girl, one of the only people he has contact with on the island.

Gus Van Sant directs Dead Man’s Wire, a new crime thriller starring Bill Skarsgård as Tony Kiritsis, a man who holds a mortgage broker hostage while rigged to a shotgun that will go off if he tries to escape. The events of the film are based on a real-life 1977 hostage standoff. The cast also includes Dacre Montgomery, Cary Elwes, Colman Domingo, Myha’la and Al Pacino.
Nominated for an Oscar for Best International Feature Film this year, The Voice of Hind Rajab is a Tunisian-French film that chronicles the final moments of the live of a five-year-old Palestinian girl, Hind Rajab, as emergency forces tried to rescue her from a car that was under fire in Gaza in 2024. Incorporating real audio from the emergency call placed by Hind with dramatizations of her attempted rescue, it’s a harrowing story about the horrors of war.
