Fast moving flames threaten San Diego military base as evacuation warnings issued

Add The California Post on Google A fast moving brush fire has led to evacuation warnings in the neighborhoods that border the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton outside of San Diego.

Cal Fire said that the fire has already charred some 800 acres of brush close to the November Training Area near Wire Mountain Housing at the Southern California military base.

The fire is active and there are threats to “critical infrastructure” that has caused evacuations, Cal Fire reported.

The department said that airtankers have been called in to try to battle the burning blaze.
