Is ‘Scream 7’ Streaming on Netflix, Prime Video or Paramount+?

Much like Ghostface, the Scream movies just keep coming back. Scream 7 opens in theaters this weekend, directed by OG Scream writer Kevin Williamson.

Even though original franchise star Neve Campbell is back in Scream 7, after not appearing in the sixth film due to contract disputes, it’s hard to celebrate that news knowing that that star of the last two films, Melissa Barrera, was fired from the franchise in November 2023, after the actress criticized Israel’s inhumane attacks on Palestine, in the wake of the Hamas-led October 7 attack. She was one of the few celebrities that voiced support for Palestine at the time (though many more have since), and she was swiftly punished for doing so, with the production company behind the slasher film accusing her of “antisemitism.” Jenna Ortega, who played Barrera’s on-screen sister, also exited the horror franchise.

Instead, the film will follow Sidney Prescott and her daughter Tatum (played by Isabel May). Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Courteney Cox will all reprise their roles from previous films; and Anna Camp, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, and Mckenna Grace join the cast as new characters. Ghostface could be any one of those people! If you’d rather wait to watch Scream 7 at home, read on to find out when and where Scream 7 will be streaming. And if you want to catch up the franchise, here’s where to watch all the Scream movies on streaming.

Scream 7 will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on Friday, February 27. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Scream 7 is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Scream 7 is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Paramount Pictures release. Almost all Paramount movies go to Paramount’s streaming platform, Paramount+, and not to Netflix.

You will be able to purchase the Scream 7 movie on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Scream 7 on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon. If you want to watch Scream 7 movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Paramount+.

Paramount+ offers two subscription plans, Essential and Premium. The ad-supported Essential plan costs $8.99/month, while the ad-free Premium plan (which comes with Showtime titles and live CBS) costs $13.99/month.

You might see Scream 7 streaming on Paramount+ around late April 2026.

The official Primate movie Paramount+ streaming date has not yet been announced. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Primate streaming on Paramount+ eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another recent Paramount film, The Naked Gun, was released on digital platforms one month after opening in theaters, and began streaming on Paramount+ about two months after opening in theaters.

If Scream 7 follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital around late March 2026, and streaming on Paramount+ around late April 2026.

But this is all speculation. If you want to watch the Scream 7 movie right away, you can catch the movie in theaters.
