Apparently, local hospitals, like Westbridge, had been hit by a cyberattack so to avoid that, PTMC’s higher ups decided to pull the plug and shore up their firewall themselves. Of course, this leaves the doctors, nurses, and frontline workers of the Pitt in a similar situation that they would have already been. That is, offline.
The Pitt Season 2 Episode 8 “2 PM” deals with the immediate fallout of a mostly-digital emergency department going suddenly analogue. As if that wasn’t enough, our faves the ED are still dealing with the overflow from Westbridge, an influx of bonkers July 4-related emergencies, and a tangled web of interpersonal drama that’s maddening on its own.
Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) is about to leave on a sabbatical and he’s already at odds with his replacement, Dr. Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi). Dr. Langdon (Patrick Ball) is back from his time away at rehab and counseling, but can’t seem to get Robby to give him a moment to apologize. Dana (Katherine LaNasa) is still handling PTSD from her hellacious attack in Season 1, while Dr. King (Taylor Dearden) is dreading a very important deposition.
So how will our favorite doctors and nurses deal with the pressure this week? Here’s everything you need to know to watch The Pitt Season 2 Episode 8 on HBO Max…
