How to watch ‘Scrubs’ reboot for free: Release date, cast, streaming

It’s time to scrub back in at Sacred Heart Hospital.

After 16 seasons off the air, the popular medical sitcom “Scrubs” will return for a nine-episode tenth season tonight, Feb. 25 on ABC.

Per ABC’s official logline for the season premiere, “John “J.D.” Dorian unexpectedly finds himself back at Sacred Heart, reuniting him with new and old faces.”

Zach Braff will reprise his role as J.D., with Donald Faison returning as J.D.’s best friend, Turk. Sarah Chalke and John C. McGinley, who played major roles in the first nine seasons of “Scrubs” are also set to return in Season 10.

The “Scrubs” rebook premieres tonight, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. ET with two episodes back-to-back.

If you don’t have cable, an easy and free way to stream “Scrubs” is by using a live TV streaming service with a free trial. One option we love is DIRECTV, which comes with five days free and starts at $34.99/month, with plenty of subscription options and genre packs that include ABC.

Per Braff and Faison on their “Fake Doctors, Real Friends” podcast, the reboot season will have nine episodes. After tonight’s two-episode premiere, one new episode will air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke are all returning to their roles in series regular capacity.

The “Scrubs” reboot stars Sarah Chalke as Elliot Reid, Zach Braff as John “J.D.” Dorian, and Donald Faison as Christopher Turk. Disney John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes will reprise their roles of Dr. Perry Cox and Carla Espinosa, respectively, in recurring parts. Robert Maschio, Phill Lewis, Neil Flynn and Christa Miller have also been confirmed to appear in the reboot.

New cast members to Season 10 include Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi and Amanda Morrow.
