Add The New York Post on Google Two EMTs were nearly killed helping a teenager who had been shot in the Bronx when their ambulance was struck by gunfire, according to police and fire officials.
Police and FDNY EMS responded to a reported shooting at the Butler Houses on Webster Avenue in Claremont and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen around 12:15 a.m.
While at the scene, an FDNY ambulance was shot at and suffered damages to rear and front windshields, according to officials and images from the scene.

Both were taken to a local hospital with non-serious injuries for evaluation, police and fire officials said.
The 18-year-old shooting victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
