Michelle Obama had a girls’ night out with her two daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama.
As seen in photos obtained by Page Six, the trio arrived at celebrity hotspot Funke Restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, Monday night, surrounded by Secret Service agents.
Michelle, 62, went casual for the outing, sporting a jacket, fitted Henley top, a brown belt and low-rise jeans.
The former first lady’s simple yet chic outfit was reminiscent of the one she wore for her photoshoot with famed photographer Annie Leibovitz last year.
Malia, 27, stunned in a floral, knee-length cami dress paired with black boots and silver jewelry.
Meanwhile, Sasha, 24, opted for a matching denim top and jeans paired with pointed, navy flats.
They were all smiles as they seemingly celebrated a belated Mother’s Day dinner.
Michelle, who is married to Barack Obama, recently opened up about how she and her husband are navigating their “new phase” of their life as empty nesters — as Sasha graduated from the University of Southern California in 2023 and Malia graduated from Harvard University in 2021.
“Our kids are grown. They’re out,” she said during a March episode of her “IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson” podcast.
“They’re out. We’re looking at each other like, ‘Hey, I remember you.’ Now I’m not mad about anything. I don’t need you to do anything for me.”

“It’s a new phase,” Michelle admitted. “Which takes time. We’re in a new phase of life.”
The author reiterated that without the kids, “a lot of the hard things” don’t come up as often in her and Barack’s household.
“When those beautiful, lovely kids we all want show up with their own agendas and their own needs, it’s the first major joint project you have to do together,” she explained.
Michelle and Barack first crossed paths at a law firm in the late 1980s before tying the knot in 1992.
They welcomed Malia in July 1998 and Sasha in June 2001.
The girls were only 10 and 7 years old, respectively, when their father was elected president of the United States in 2008. Because Barack served two terms in office, they were under a microscope until the ages of 18 and 15.
