But those in attendance weren’t basking in the thrill of a 7-6 walk-off win over Troy. They were focused on a radio broadcast playing from the press box sound system.
It was Springboro grad A.J. Ewing getting his first major league plate appearance some 600 miles away.

The team listened as the Mets outfielder took a walk, which made for a “really cool moment,” Springboro coach Mark Pelfrey told The Post by phone before the Mets game against the Tigers on Wednesday.
Ewing was promoted to the big leagues to try to spark a struggling Mets lineup. He greatly impressed in his debut.
