We reviewed TA3 swimwear years ago and still recommend it. The brand is known for its sexy, body-contouring suits that offer maximum stretch with its premium material. While each suit is different, we remained impressed by the different design technologies, including scuba nylon, hidden shaping panels and strategically placed laces for a more tailored feel. While the looks aren’t exactly cheap, you’re sure to enjoy your pick for a long time.

Size range: XXS-4X | Price range: $100+ | Return policy: TA3 offers 30 day returns. Rules apply

New York Post Review: “I have been a fan of Sézane for many years. Only recently did I discover they have a swimwear section, and I can attest that the quality is just as high as their clothing. I picked up the Seda Swimsuit that slides on easily and feels like a second skin. It does not have reinforced bra pads, but it is fully lined and feels like it was made for the French Riviera.

The brand offers a wide selection, from two-pieces to one-pieces, along with swimwear accessories. Prices range from $55 to $125.25 and up. Overall, this is my go-to shop for looking fashionable on the beach.” – Emma Sutton-Williams, commerce reporter

Size range: 2-12 | Price range: $55+ | Return policy: Swimsuit returns are not allowed unless returned in their original packaging for sanitary reasons

Paint with all the colors of the wind and the water, with a new collection from Kenny Flowers. The Watercolors collection is a new swim line from the resort wear brand, featuring matching swimmies for you, your girl crew, your bridal party, your man and even your dog. For everyday swimming essentials, you can also shop by pattern, with a variety of fun and trending styles to browse for any upcoming boat parties. Most suits hover around the $30 to $130 range and accessories like kimonos, cover-ups and other beach must-haves are also in that ballpark.

New York Post Review: “You may know Etam for its sexy lingerie. What you may not know is that it has a wonderful swimwear selection, from bikinis to one-pieces that are equally sexy. I own the One-Piece Stretch Swimsuit with Metal Jewelry ($69.95) from Etam, which I wear as a top. I find it highly versatile and well-made.

From classic one-pieces to trendy separates, Etam’s swimwear collection is impressively comprehensive. I’m especially fond of their cover-ups, which are chic enough to double as ready-to-wear pieces for your post-beach plans, like this Elastic Top and Shorts With Linen. I only wish the swimwear came in more inclusive sizing for larger busts.

Size range: 2XS through Large | Price range: $39.99+ | Return policy: For swimwear, the hygiene sticker must remain intact. If it has been removed or tampered with, Etam will likely refuse the return for health and safety reasons.

New York Post Review: “My body has third-degree burns on it, which is why I find rash guards extremely important. Athleta’s swimwear collection prioritizes sun safety through UV protection that is integrated directly into the textile fibers.

The brand caters to a range of comfort levels and body preferences with supportive, high-waisted bottoms and stylish bikini tops that emphasize a confident fit, making me feel comfortable in my cheeky briefs.

Their inventory includes straight-neck one-pieces, swim shorts and more. Athleta is a great brand for anyone looking to stay active and protected under the sun.” – Emma Sutton-Williams, commerce reporter

Size range: XX-Small through X-Large | Price range: $27.50+ | Return policy: Swimwear must have the original price tags attached and the hygienic liner intact. If the liner is missing, they will generally refuse the return.

Blooming Jelly is a a great swimwear brand to keep in mind when you don’t want to spend a lot but don’t want to sacrifice style. It has a huge selection of options that range from flirty to downright sexy. Most are made with a blend of nylon and spandex for a lightweight, stretchy feel. While it won’t be a favorite of those who like heavily compressive material, the bright colors and cheeky designs are sure to please most folks. Sizes start at extra-small and go up to 4X.

Size range: XS-4X | Price range: $20+ | Return policy: Blooming Jelly allows 30 day returns

We love the brand’s jeans and we also love its swimsuits. Known for its on-trend looks, Abercrombie & Fitch offers a large selection of swimwear. The bikini tops, which can be found in bandeau, underwire, and triangle styles, typically feature a blend of soft nylon and stretchy spandex. Thanks to its popularity, items sell out fast (there always seem to be at least 100+ ‘watching’ an individual style), but the suits last for a long time, so we’re not surprised that everyone wants to grab them.

New York Post review: “I’ve been wearing almost exclusively Abercrombie swimsuits for years thanks to their trustworthy quality, sizing and trendy designs. I always know what I’m going to get when shopping it online, as their sizing is consistent and ranging from petites to curve-love, as well as short and tall lengths — and swimwear is no exception. Year after year, they release on-trend designs that are flattering for all body types, with a particular focus on swim bottoms that actually complement every kind of bottom and include modest to cheeky coverage. Similarly, year after year the quality stands up after many wears and sun-soaked beach days.” — Meaghan Roche, Senior Commerce SEO Manager

One of the most flattering swimsuit brands is Summersalt. You’ll be doing somersaults, cartwheels and backflips when you find out this brand has got it all. The clothing company’s swimwear line is one to watch, not only for fun styles in both bikinis and one-pieces but for size inclusivity. Many items range from a 0 to a 22, with some going up to a 24.

Feel confident and sexy in new swimwear from Cupshe this spring and summer. You’ve seen the commercials, and you’ve shopped at its store. Naturally, Old Navy would make it on this list. Since we were in high school, the brand has been a reliable source for trendy basics, including swimsuits. For such a budget-friendly brand, it has a lot of high-end features, such as items made of recycled materials and inclusive sizing. The positive reviews are plentiful and so are the sales, which happen often.

New York Post review: “One of my favorite places to go when I want to refresh my swimsuit drawer is Old Navy, because not only are the swimsuits cute and high quality, they’re also so reasonably priced and almost always discounted. I appreciate that they offer a range of different styles for every age and body type in the same consistent color palette, so no matter which style you’re shopping for, you will find it in the color or pattern you like best.”

If you don’t already have a suit from this cult-favorite brand, you need one right now. “Euphoria” fans will recognize the hot pink suit Sydney Sweeney wore, which now has a 500-person waitlist. However, if you don’t want to wait, we recommend browsing their site for even more cute and flirty options.

If you have a taste for Australian swimwear and have the cash to spare, you can’t do much better than the luxury bathing suit brand SIR. Sure, it sells lots of other stuff, too, but we like it for its body-hugging, quiet-luxury but beach-approved designs. The looks are not typical but that’s why we enjoy them. Made from a blend of nylon, polyester and spandex, you’ll find styles featuring demure geometric prints, barely there bikini briefs, and high-waisted swim shorts for your next surf’s up.

Size range: 2-10 | Price range: $100+ | Return policy: Blooming Jelly allows 30 day returns

When shopping the best swimsuit brands, keep in mind the following things:

Budget: The price of swimsuits range widely from brand to brand, so keep this in mine when shopping. There are many swimsuits for $50 or less that are of excellent quality and stylish, so don’t feel you have to spend a lot on a swimsuit. However, pricier swimwear tends to have extra design features, such as smoothing, shaping and lifting. If this is what you’re interested in the most, prepare to invest a little more. In the long run, the price of a swimsuit is not always indicative of its quality, so make sure to read reviews and note the product description before adding one to your cart.

Sizing: Narrowing your search by size is a quick way to determine if a brand is worth considering or not. While there are a variety of swimsuit brands on the market, not all cater to every size and shape. Typically a brand’s site will allow shoppers to filter swimsuits by their specific size. There are also some that allow shoppers to filter by height (regular, tall, petite) or torso length. Similarly, many experts recommend review sizing charts when shopping, which can vary from brand to brand. Comparing your measurements against the chart will give a better idea of what size you should select. It is also recommended to read customer reviews to get a stronger sense if whether a swimsuit is true to fit or not.

Style and Design Features: Like other types of clothing, swimsuits come in different styles and cuts. If a brand doesn’t have a style you like — keep looking, because there’s another brand that likely does. Many brands have special design features, such as underwire, hidden panels or adjustable straps for the wearer to have a more customize fit or look. Pay attention to the product description while browsing, so you don’t miss any of the special design technology that a specific swimsuit might have.

Material: Most swimsuits will be made from a blend of nylon, elastane, polyester and spandex. These materials are lightweight and stretchy. If you’re interested in a swimsuit that has extra support, check what percentage of the suit is made of spandex. Typically anything of 10% spandex or more will offer extra lift and/or compression.
