Six Flags Magic Mountain on lockdown as armored police trucks roll in

Cops have locked down Six Flags Magic Mountain after reports of a bomb threat.

Deputies responded to the amusement park around 7:55 a.m. after receiving a threat call involving the park in Valencia, California, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“We are aware of the police activity at the park and are currently monitoring the situation in coordination with local authorities,” the theme park said in a statement.

The theme park had not yet opened to the public at the time of the call. Officials said deputies were conducting a sweep of the park grounds as a precaution.

Employees who were inside the park were evacuated during the investigation.

The park operates from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. Authorities have not said whether any suspicious items were discovered, and no injuries have been reported.

It was immediately not clear on who reported the alleged threat.

Aerial footage from the scene showed multiple sheriff’s vehicles positioned near the entrance while deputies searched the property.
