Mayor Mamdani said nothing about how openly anti-semitic young Democrats — who support Hamas and hate Israel — caused a riot.
It amazes me that New Yorkers voted for this. But I’ve known many Holocaust survivors, who all warned me this could happen again.
The mayor will never talk out strongly against the protesters who are so anti-Israel. They are just following his lead and feel the same way that he does toward Israel.
It’s apparent that Palestinians have moved their war from the Middle East to America. Riots disguised as protests. Attacks of terrorism.
The war in the Middle East is all but over. Arab countries are working together with Israel for a future without war. It’s time for America to bring peace within our own borders.
The time has come for American Jews to start acting tough, like our brethren in Israel. We need an American equivalent of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Instead of synagogues having to pay for their own security, we can organize a highly-trained network that protects Jews from the growing incidents of violent anti-Jew hatred festering in this nation.
It started with Bill de Blasio, and has only gotten worse with Mamdani.
Imagine treating billionaires the way he is treating them! And now he’s siding with the anti-Zionists against Jews. God help us.
It’s clear from the Siena University poll that, while Gov. Hochul wants more taxes and spending, two-thirds of New York voters are saying that’s the wrong direction (“Kathy, you’re cru$hing us!” May 6).
Big deal: They elected her. And because they’re blind to the link between Democrats and a punishing cost of living, they’ll re-elect her anyway.
Gov. Hochul’s slogan, “More Money in Your Pocket” suggests that the path to prosperity is through government action. Where did that faux largesse come from?
When Democrats talk about “affordability,”they place the blame on the private sector and those horrible old rich people, including and especially the president, but they leave out the government.
On top of federal and state taxes, Social Security taxes and, for homeowners, property taxes, we pay sales taxes, excise taxes and hidden taxes due to regulation, not to mention the costs businesses pass on to the consumer to cover the taxes they pay as the cost of doing business.
The bottom line: The cost of government is, for most people, the biggest single element of our cost of living.
