Jessel Taank teamed up with Amazon at the Kentucky Derby, curating her must-haves for Mother's Day and beyond. Seth Arnold for Amazon; Amazon Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities buy when they’re browsing their favorite boutique or shopping online late at night? Welcome to Six Picks, where we ask stars to spill their style and beauty must-haves — so you can shop like you’re famous, too.
Jessel Taank isn’t up-and-coming — she’s here.
The Bravo star is getting ready to film her third season of “Real Housewives of New York” — and welcoming several newbies to the iconic franchise’s cast (including Martha Stewart’s makeup artist, Daisy Toye).
“I think that the chemistry and the dynamic feels really good, so I’m excited for you guys to see what we’ve been up to,” Taank told Page Six Style.
She also connected with several newer Bravo faces while attending the Kentucky Derby with Amazon recently, including “RHORI” star Ashley Iaconetti, whom she’s been following since her “Bachelor” days. (“She’s so brilliant, and one of those women that is sort of made for television,” she said.)
Taank attended Amazon’s Mother’s Day-themed Kentucy Derby trip alongside fellow reality TV moms. Amazon Perhaps she gave the newly-minted “Housewives” advice, given she’s now on her way to becoming a Bravo veteran — including when it comes to selecting screen-worthy styles.
“I’m extra, so I’m always about more is more,” she said of her fashion philosophy. “I love to be the glamazon on my cast. I think that it’s really fun to just play with new looks and new approaches to how I want to be perceived.”
But while the former PR maven is no stranger to switching up her style, she won’t be abandoning the below must-haves anytime soon. Keep scrolling to shop some of her ultimate favorites, from fresh fragrances to “holy grail” body oil.
“It’s this very light, really fragrant, gorgeous oil that does something that a lot of oils don’t. The absorption is really quick, so it leaves your skin super soft — but it doesn’t leave that greasy, filmy feeling after. That’s my holy grail for moisture after a shower, and it just smells amazing. And I know that the ingredients that they use are always top-notch. So it’s definitely worth the buy.”
“PDRN is kind of like the new guard. I just find that it really smooths [and] plumps. It’s like this incredible glow that you feel after you get a facial. So for me, this spray is a one-stop shop just to get a refreshed skin glow. Especially in the summer, you want to just feel sun-kissed and hydrated, and this does that very well.”
“I absolutely love just a quick, clean spray of a scent that’s not too heavy. Sometimes those heavy perfumes give me a headache, and it’s a little bit overwhelming. This is a really nice clean, fresh scent. I love everything Philosophy does, but this scent in general is just always in my bag. New York is busy, so I’m always very conscious of staying fresh when I’m on the go.”
“For me, Tatcha has always been this sort of North Star, at least for a nighttime ritual. There’s so many products out there; it’s nice to just have one brand that you know what you’re doing with. And it’s packaged beautifully.”
“I’m a big fan of Caudalie, always have been. It’s really lightweight, and it’s just a very simple, nourishing product for the skin.”
“Thank God that someone created products where I can match with my boys because usually a mom and kid matching set is for the daughters.”
