Paramount+ has premiered the trailer for its highly anticipated new drama The Madison starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, giving an inside look at the new family drama.
Pfeiffer stars as the matriarch of the Clyburns, a New York City family struck by tragedy. Described as “a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana,” The Madison is being hailed as series creator Taylor Sheridan‘s “most intimate work to date” as it “examines the ties that bind families together.”
“Mine is not a family designed to withstand tragedy,” Pfeiffer’s character says in the trailer.
The trailer promises sweeping vistas of Montana and New York City alike, teeing up an emotional tale about a family at a crossroads. Though many details about the plot are still being kept under wraps, Pfeiffer’s character seems to be wracked with grief as she navigates the highs and lows of living on a ranch with her family.
This new look at The Madison also offers a glimpse of what to expect from the show’s ensemble cast, a marker for most of Sheridan’s work at Paramount+. It even reveals one more shocking cast addition: Will Arnett!
Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller will also star in the new series, alongside Pfeiffer and Russell.
The Madison is set to premiere Saturday, March 14, with three episodes. The final three episodes will then air the following Saturday, on March 21.
Fortunately for fans, if The Madison leaves you wanting more there is already good news on that front: The Madison has already been renewed for a second season. Paramount shared the Season 2 premiere date will also be announced soon.
Christina Alexandra Voros, who directed episodes of Yellowstone and 1983, will direct all six episodes of the series.
The Madison is Sheridan’s latest series for the streamer.
