Kyle Rittenhouse suffers nasty brown recluse bite, compares spider to ‘communists’: ‘Couldn’t take me out’

Conservative darling Kyle Rittenhouse says a brown recluse spider bit him and tried to finish what ‘the communists’ couldn’t — landing him in the hospital.

Rittenhouse, 23, shared images on X from a hospital bed with IVs inserted in his torso, as well as significant red inflammation on his thigh from the nasty bite and marker rings to track the swelling.

“The communists couldn’t take me out and I’ll be damned if I let a brown recluse take me out,” he wrote.

Brown recluse spider bites are rarely deadly, with fatalities typically limited to children or the infirmed. The venom, however, is known to cause necrosis, the death of tissue at the location of the bite.

Rittenhouse later also posted a photo of himself seated in a wooden structure — what seems to be a deer stand — aiming a scoped rifle and writing that the brown recluse spider came after him while “armed” and “did not survive.”

Rittenhouse became a household name in 2020 following the murder of George Floyd. Just 17 at the time, he gunned down Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz with his AR-15 style rifle during an anti-police protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Rittenhouse was charged with homicide by Kenosha County prosecutors — but was acquitted in 2021 after a jury found he acted in self defense.

Rosenbaum — a convicted sex offender — initiated the altercation with Rittenhouse, and during trial, Rittenhouse’s attorney insisted it bolstered his defense.

Rittenhouse has since become a gun rights advocate.
