Kim Kardashian is reportedly taking a break from taking the California Bar exam after last year’s failed attempt.
Insiders claim the “Kardashians” star, 45, skipped the February exam and has no plans to try again in July, reports TMZ.
Those looking to take the test are offered two tries per year. But, sources say the fashion mogul won’t be planning to try again until 2027.
A rep for Kardashian did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Kardashian has only taken the State of California Bar Exam one time. However, she’s also taken the California “baby bar” exam — which is required for entrance to her legal apprenticeship program — three times before she finally passed on her fourth try in 2021.
The reality star — who also portrays a lawyer on Ryan Murphy’s “All’s Fair” — confessed to failing the California Bar exam last November after her July attempt.
“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet,” she wrote via her Instagram Story, announcing the news. “I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.”
“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”

The news of her decision to step away comes as no shock for those following along with the Kardashian’s legal career journey. In December, she candidly admitted that the failure broke her “confidence.”
“I took a minute to process that, and instantly, when I got my results, I didn’t feel good about it. I was really uncomfortable and not confident for a while,” Kardashian told Time Magazine.
“You get the results on a Friday, and I knew Sunday morning they were going to be live on the internet. So I wanted to mention it first and let people know that it didn’t go my way.”
Kardashian previously opened up about her studying process in an episode of the “Kardashians.”
In the episode, she tearfully shared that she felt she was having a “mental breakdown” due to the strenuous studying required for the test.
“I’m absolutely gonna cry cause it’s f–king exhausting,” she told the camera as she got emotional, saying she’d “hit a wall” with her prep.
“I threw my back out, and it’s, like, every time I think I get to another step, something pulls me back,” she lamented, explaining that she could “hardly walk” and “hardly f–king sit.”
