Insane moment driver chases child down sidewalk of suburban neighborhood with her car: ‘This woman is crazy!’

Video shows the moment an alleged drunk driver mounts the sidewalk and chases down a child riding a dirt bike in a shocking incident in a leafy Washington state neighborhood.

Wendy Clemente, 56, was arrested for allegedly trying to mow down the child in her vehicle while under the influence, the Spokesman-Review reported.

Horrifying cellphone footage taken by a neighbor shows the car turning toward the boy riding his dirt bike while Clemente honks her horn repeatedly on a street in the upscale Pacific Northwest town of Cheney, Washington.

At one point the ford focus swerved at the child, video shows. Clemente yells something at the child, who looks back and appears to respond before riding away, at which point the car accelerates toward him along the sidewalk.

“She’s trying to run this… Oh my god… You’re kidding, oh my god,” the person filming is heard yelling.

During her arrest, Clemente attempted to kick a patrol deputy, according to a police report from the April 28 incident.

Clemente was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and was booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of first-degree attempted assault, DUI, and criminal trespass.
