This wasn’t quite the 51-point blowout from Game 6 against the Hawks, but it wasn’t far off for the Knicks in a second consecutive postseason rout.
The latest unfolded Monday night at the Garden, when the Knicks cruised past the 76ers, 137-98, to open the Eastern Conference semifinals with a Game 1 victory.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 35 points, while OG Anunoby added 18, Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 17 and Mikal Bridges produced 17.
That’s even with Knicks starters mostly able to rest in the fourth quarter with the game out of hand.
