NY Post readers discuss the state Elder Parole bill to grant a chance at early release older convicts, even the violent. Robert Miller for NY Post The Issue: The state Elder Parole bill to grant a chance at early release for older convicts, even the violent. Woke politicians, such as Sen. Julia Salazar and Assemblyman David Weprin, are campaigning for parole for some of New York’s most vicious killers (“The Walking Dread,” May 3).
They argue that keeping these killers in prison for the rest of their lives “costs a fortune.” A pity this factor wasn’t taken into consideration at the time of sentencing. If these criminals had got what they deserved — the death penalty — lots of costs would’ve been saved.
I was stunned to read that lunatic Democrats in Albany are focusing on passing two woke parole bills that could release murderers who are serving life sentences.
In my opinion, the animals that would benefit by the passing of this legislation should not be allowed to dodge their sentences because their victims cannot dodge the sentences imposed upon them and their long-suffering families.
The two woke parole bills should never see the light of day. I hope Gov. Hochul realizes how many people’s lives were ruined by these murderers. Let the suspects rot in jail. They should’ve been executed.
The Elder Parole bill is a smack in the faces of all crime victims and their families. Life in prison should mean what it says.
These inmates should never see the light of day. Their victims can never be paroled from their sentence of eternity. The parole board’s concern for these felons is disgusting.
It’s extremely dangerous and frightening if Albany passes these parole bills. Letting convicted murderers out of jail is totally insane.
These murderers killed innocent people for no reason. They need to pay for it and be in jail for the rest of their lives.
I cannot imagine what the relatives of the victims must be thinking. This is not justice — these homicidal maniacs must remain in jail.
It’s incomprehensible that New York’s Parole Board has freed 43 cop-killers since 2017. If our legislators approve the Elder Parole bill, which grants parole hearings every two years to defendants over age 55, then it’s proof that our government has failed crime victims and their families.
Kudos to The Post for shedding light on what many of us have suspected regarding the COVID “hoax” by Dr. Anthony Fauci and David Morens (“Biden crew hid data on vax safety,” Miranda Devine, April 30).
It is unsettling how so many of us believed the fake origins of this virus.
While receiving my vaccination, my gut told me, “this is not right.” But in the global panic, millions of us followed along with the propaganda like lemmings going over a cliff.
I have a heart issue and heart issues do not run in my family. I believe it’s connected to the vaccination, which I should never have gotten.
It will probably be another millennium before the truth comes out — if ever.
Good on Devine for reminding us the COVID vaccine didn’t do what we were told: It didn’t halt the spread of the virus or grant immunity.
Of course, former President Joe Biden suggested that those who weren’t vaccinated put us all at risk. Yet serious reactions have occurred from these unproven shots.
Can we expect further serious reactions down the line? Time will tell.
