Four in hospital after Brixton shooting

The Met Police arrived at the scene following reports of a firearm discharge on Coldharbour Lane.

One man, 25, is in a life-threatening condition in hospital. Three others, aged 21, 47 and 70, were also taken to hospital.

No arrests have been made, and the police are continuing to investigate the case.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, called the incident an "act of indiscriminate violence".

"We understand how concerning this incident will be for the local community and want to reassure residents that officers are working at pace to identify those responsible," they said.

The police have asked for anyone with information about the incident to come forward - and said there will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.
