“A bittersweet moment. How lucky we are to have these memories ❤️,” she captioned an Instagram post in celebration of her Vanderbilt University graduation.
Beneath her cap and gown, Martin, 21, wore a white cotton Vivenne Westwood dress ($1,020) and black ballet flats with a small heel.
The choice of designer seemed a perfect nod to her British roots as the daughter of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow was born in London and lived across the pond until her parents’ “conscious uncoupling” in 2014.
Though not all graduates participate in the tradition, wearing white has long been a symbol of new beginnings.
Included in the pics, Martin posed around her college with her friends — lying on leather couches, modeling in the library, and posing with her besties, all in caps and gowns and various white dresses.
Though Martin’s post-graduation plans have yet to be outlined, she’s already begun to make a name for herself as a model.
She’s the face of British label Self-Portrait, posed solo for Vogue and joined mom Paltrow’s for a GapStudio campaign.
It remains to be seen what the “Marty Supreme” actress wore to watch her eldest child finish her collegiate career.
