exclusive details New York Giants Darius Slayton surgery has no bearing on Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. interest By Paul Schwartz Published April 30, 2026, 11:53 a.m. ET Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton underwent core-muscle surgery this offseason. for the NY POST Wide receiver Darius Slayton had offseason surgery for a core-muscle injury but he is expected to be ready to roll for training camp and this physical issue has nothing to do with any interest the Giants have in signing Odell Beckham Jr., The Post has learned.

Slayton, the longest-tenured Giants player — he arrived in the 2021 NFL Draft — tried to fight through the core-muscle injury but decided surgery was his best course of action.

Having the procedure in the spring should allow him to get on the field this summer for John Harbaugh’s first camp running the show for the Giants.

Slayton is coming off a rough season, catching only 37 passes for 538 yards and one touchdown, never really finding a rhythm with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
