Federal drug agents strike SoCal mansions worth millions in shocking series of surprise raids

Drug Enforcement Administration agents on Wednesday hit multiple locations in Orange County, including a pair of ritzy homes in Tustin and Irvine.

The DEA struck at least four spots across the OC in an ongoing investigation into illegal narcotics, officials told The California Post.

The raids centered on illegal drug labs, and agents removed lab equipment from at least one location where warrants were executed, according to officials. It wasn’t immediately known what types of drugs were suspected of being produced at the labs.

DEA agents pounced on a multi-million-dollar home on Brisbane Court in Tustin Wednesday morning, with several agents keeping watch in the driveway as other agents came and went from the split-level house.

The federal agency also stuck a stately mansion on Steeplechase Street within The Groves at Orchard Hills, a prestigious 24-hour guard-gated community in North Irvine, where agents were spotted entering and exiting the spacious, single-family home.

The Irvine Police Department took to social media to warn the public of the DEA’s presence on upscale Steeplechase with a post issued to X at 6:40 a.m.

“Another agency is serving a search warrant on Steeplechase. There is no threat to the public, and this is not immigration related,” the Irvine Police said.

A spokesperson for the DEA Los Angeles Field Division confirmed that DEA personnel were conducting an ongoing drug enforcement investigation at multiple locations in Orange County.

The spokesperson said DEA executed search warrants at multiple locations.

DEA agents handcuffed and detained at least one person at one of the locations searched by the DEA, but as of Wednesday afternoon no arrests had been made.
