A Florida math teacher who allegedly romped with a student for five months before he told his parents about his “secret girlfriend” has been fired.
Kirsten Rose, 37, was sacked from her position at Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School after the Brevard Public Schools came to a vote on her fate on Tuesday night.
Board members agreed to terminate Rose’s employment with the school district, 18 days after she was placed on administrative leave, Fox 35 Orlando reported.
“We are cooperating fully with law enforcement and are deeply troubled by these allegations,” the board told the outlet. “The District remains committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.”

The now-fired teacher was under a multi-month investigation after the boy’s parents alerted the Brevard Sheriff’s Office to the allegedly inappropriate relationship.
Rose had allegedly been chatting with the boy on Instagram outside of class for five months before her arrest.
They continued chatting into the new year and allegedly had sex in February and March, with the boy’s parents becoming alarmed when he returned home late from work one night.
The parents grew more suspicious when they saw their son’s location was at an unfamiliar home, and when challenged, he replied he was with his “girlfriend,” without naming Rose.
The parents kept pressing the boy until he admitted that he was in a “relationship” with his teacher.
Rose was booked into Brevard County Jail hours after her arrest and was released the next morning on a $250,000 bond.

Months before the illicit tryst arrest, Rose had finalized her divorce from her husband, according to court records viewed by The Post.
The dissolution was officially made on Aug. 26, 2025.
