Ravens signing Diego Pavia after controversial QB went undrafted

The Ravens are signing undrafted Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia to a three-year deal, according to ESPN.

The 24-year-old Heisman Trophy runner-up had already accepted an invitation to Baltimore’s minicamp this weekend.

Pavia led Vanderbilt to a 10-3 record in 2025, passing for 3,539 yards and 29 touchdowns and rushing for 862 yards with 10 more touchdowns.

AP He finished second in Heisman voting behind former Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who was selected first overall by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2026 draft.

Pavia’s height was a pivotal talking point ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine.

AP Pavia — who was listed at 6-feet tall and 207 pounds on the Commodores’ website for the 2025 season — was measured at 5-9 ⅞ inches and 198 pounds while at Senior Bowl practices in January.

The Ravens also signed undrafted UConn quarterback Joey Fagnano, per NFL Network.

Fagnano threw for nearly 3,500 yards and 28 touchdowns last season for the Huskies.

Pavia transferred to Vanderbilt before the 2024 season after two seasons at New Mexico State University. He spent two seasons at New Mexico Military Institute (2020-21).
