Hailey Bieber said she’s ‘always going back’ to this scent that’s perfect for spring

With spring finally here, we’re looking to a resurfaced Hailey Bieber interview for a little seasonal scent inspiration. The star declared her love for Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique Eau de Parfum in a 2023 Harper’s Bazaar UK video, saying she keeps returning to the floral fragrance time and time again.

“That’s the scent that I’ve actually been wearing for a few years,” Bieber shared.

“I like to play around with scents, but the one I am always going back to is the Ex Nihilo.”

The airy perfume features top notes of bergamot, lychee and peach and a heart of jasmine, peony and orange blossom, drying down to a moss and musk base.

Bieber’s also a fan of the brand’s Lust in Paradise Eau de Parfum, as she once told GQ it “very much lives up to the name.”

“Every time I travel, when I’m going to be on the plane, I like to have perfume with me,” she said, revealing she’d already gone through three bottles of the beachy blend.

While the coastal-inspired scent features peonies like Fleur Narcotique, it also has notes of lychee, pink pepper and white cedarwood.

Though the Rhode founder is often outspoken about her skin care and makeup must-haves, it’s far less common to see her name-drop a fragrance. So when it comes to florals for spring, these flower-based scents just might be groundbreaking.
