A longtime sex offender known as “Cookie Monster” was found naked in a young boy’s bedroom — where he woke him up screaming and “pinned” him to the bed, according to police.
Lavern Scott, a 65-year-old pervert stretching back almost 40 years, allegedly snuck into the Omaha, Nebraska home through an unlocked door early Friday morning, according to a disturbing report from the Omaha Police Department obtained by WOWT.
He then stripped naked and got into bed with a 9-year-old boy — who woke up terrified and screaming, the report said.
Scott then “pinned the child to the bed and set his legs in, using his feet as hooks to hold the child in place,” the police report states.
Scott, 65, is a lifetime registered sex offender, having been first convicted in 1987. Nebraska Sex Offender Registry The boy’s grandfather rushed into the room and found Scott naked at the foot of the bed — with a bottle of water and a bottle of lotion, the police report said.
The grandfather managed to kick out the pervert — who is known both as “Cookie Monster” and “Cookie X” — and lock the door to their house.
Police then got a call that Scott — who is listed as a lifetime sex offender — had entered another home, claiming it was his.
The sex offender was then arrested on a nearby street corner — wearing nothing but socks, cops said.
Scott was charged with burglary, child abuse and failure to register as a sex offender after numerous previous violations.
Scott was convicted of first-degree sexual assault in Nebraska in 1987 and then convicted again for the same charge in 1999, according to a sex offender violation report that says he needs to be regeistered for the rest of his life.
He’s subsequently been convicted of violating the registry in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2024. Records show he last verified his residence with authorities in May 2023 — nearly 3 years ago.
Scott was also known as “Cookie Monster” according to his Nebraska sex offender registry report. Scott has also previously been convicted of indecent exposure three times and trespassing six times in Nebraska, according to WOWT.
Scott’s is still being held at Douglas County Corrections on a $1.25 million bond. His next court date is scheduled for June 1.
