A Florida substitute teacher allegedly had sex with a student in his car – before demanding a sex act from another underage girl.
Marsel Javaris Smith, 27, approached one girl after class in October and asked for her number before bombarding her with several requests for explicit snaps and sex, according to an arrest report seen by WTVJ.
“Dang you making wanna see more videos and pics but a lil more you know exclusive,” he allegedly messaged the child after she turned down one of his requests.
The girl, who is under 18, continued to rebuff the teacher’s advances, prompting him to reply, “But come on think of everything I be at your school. You can trust me.”
Smith, a substitute in Broward County for three years, eventually met up with the teen at a fast-food joint Oct. 14, when he allegedly demanded a sex act, which she refused.
Five days later, he picked up the girl and took her to Osswald Park in Fort Lauderdale – and allegedly had sex in his car even though she emphatically made her feelings clear.
“She advised the defendant ‘no’ multiple times and did not want to engage in any sexual activity,” police said, according to report seen by CBS Miami.
Smith allegedly tried to speak to the girl when they were in school, asking her to go into an empty classroom, which she refused to do.
She reported Smith to a school security officer, who forwarded the complaint to authorities.
Smith, a former teacher at Northeast High, was arrested Friday and ended his police interview when asked if he had taken the girl to Osswald Park, claiming he was “unable to remember.”
While cops were probing the first set of allegations, they were made aware of claims that Smith demanded a sex act from another girl, whose age has not been confirmed.
Investigators have not released any details other than he allegedly messaged her when she gave him her number.
Smith appeared in court Saturday, and the judge said: “You’ve been charged with soliciting or engaging in a romantic relationship as an authority figure with a minor and sexual battery by somebody 24 years of age or older on a victim 16 or 17 years of age”.
He has been ordered to have no contact with his alleged victims and has been banned from teaching across the county.
