Shake Shack's Smoky BBQ menu is returning for summer with new items in the lineup. Shake Shack Shake Shack’s summer menu is smoking hot — and it features an innovation.
As part of its Smoky BBQ summer menu, Shake Shack has introduced a BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich, marking a “first-of-its-kind sandwich” for the company.
The new sandwich, available Tuesday, April 28, along with a new side of Mac & Cheese, will drop with the seasonal menu and build on the popularity of previous BBQ offerings at the Shack.
The sandwich features boneless 100% baby back pork ribs topped with Shake Shack’s classic BBQ sauce, coleslaw and pickles on a toasted potato bun for $12.99.
According to the company, the baby back pork ribs are hand deboned, slow-cooked for nine hours, and marinated in a proprietary BBQ spice blend with apple cider vinegar, reflecting the “depth and tradition of authentic backyard BBQ.”
The sandwich was inspired by the popularity of ribs — and the care required to prepare them — and a “deep-rooted love” of authentic BBQ, the company shared.
“The return of our Smoky BBQ menu is rooted in the tradition and care that define great barbecue,” John Karangis, Executive Chef and Vice President of Culinary Innovation at Shake Shack, said in a statement shared with The Post.
“For our new BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich, we took inspiration from the backyard BBQ, using premium 100% baby back pork ribs that are dry rubbed and slow cooked for hours and carefully prepared by hand to deliver bold, rich flavors in every bite. Paired with our new side of Mac & Cheese, it’s a lineup that honors the depth, quality and comfort of a true BBQ experience.”
Alongside the new items and returning fan favorites, the menu also introduces new lemonades and shakes.
Shake Shack’s Smoky BBQ menu will be available nationwide for a limited time.
