Buccaneers wide receiver Tez Johnson appears to have moved on after his tumultuous split from ex-fiancée Laila Thompson-Wainer played out in the public eye in February.
In an Instagram carousel post Saturday, Johnson included a mysterious snapshot, showing his foot touching another woman’s foot in studded high heels.
Johnson, 23, did not identify the woman, and the comments on his post have been limited.
It comes after Johnson’s ex-fiancée, Laila Thompson-Wainer, who is a Seahawks part-time staffer, accused him of cheating on the same day they got engaged in a now-viral TikTok video posted in February.
Johnson’s ex claimed that he sent sexual messages to his ex-girlfriend on the morning he proposed to her, as well as after their engagement, which took place on Feb. 21, 2025.
Thompson-Wainer posted alleged screenshots of the messages in her video, which she shared on the one-year anniversary of their engagement, “to reflect” on it.
She also shared videos from their engagement and covered his face during footage of the proposal.
“This was his timeline for the day, so he woke up and he texted his ex-girlfriend. … Then proceeded to go through the same day that I did,” Thompson-Wainer said.
“He gets down on one knee, he proposes. … We got to our engagement dinner. … And then we get home from our engagement dinner and then he texts [his ex again].
“For some reason you cheat before and after you propose, the morning and the night. That’s just something I will never understand.”
Thompson-Wainer added that “the story will come out eventually” and concluded with, “Don’t you dare try to silence me again.”
Johnson, a 2025 seventh-round pick, never addressed the matter publicly.
He had 28 catches for 322 yards and five touchdowns during his rookie season.
