A driver is lucky to be alive after dodging an out-of control car on the Los Angeles freeway during a horrifying multi-vehicle crash that left one dead.
Footage of the deadly ordeal shows the driver crashing into another man’s car pulled over on the 101 freeway in Encino early Saturday morning, barely missing him and sending his vehicle careening down the raodway.
Later, when the two drivers were seen standing together to survey the damage, a third car plowed into their wrecked vehicles — striking one of the men head-on while the other seemingly managed to emerge unhurt.
That’s when a fourth car came barreling down the road, leading the unhurt driver to scramble atop the freeway’s center divider as the vehicle crashed into the pileup.
The victim killed in the twisted wreck has been not identified.
Emergency responders from Los Angeles Fire Department had to use the jaws of life to remove one driver involved in the crash, MyNewsLA reported.
The pile-up resulted in the freeway’s northbound lanes being closed south of White Oak Avenue.

California Highway Patrol Sgt. Hines told KTLA that the chain-reaction began with a “solo crash that caused the vehicle to be disabled in the number one lane.” CHP told the outlet that the victim victim killed in the crash was a man.
Hines warned drivers to never exit their vehicles.
“It’s very dangerous and we would advise the public that anytime you are involved in a traffic crash, if at all possible, move to the right shoulder,” he told KTLA.
“And if not, in your vehicle with your seatbelt [buckled] is the safest place to be,” he added.
