Shouldn’t this be between him and his wife? Does it make him less of a coach? Many football and sports stars have done a lot worse. Let him fight his own battles privately.
The data showing the staggering increase in severe injuries due to e-bike accidents comes as no surprise to anyone trying to navigate the streets of New York City (“E-bike injures at brakeneck pace,” April 22).
The moronic design and proliferation of bike lanes in this city coupled with the absence of proper regulation and traffic-law enforcement of these kamikaze pilots has made crossing the street and making it to the other side a 50-50 proposition.
Mets fan Nelson Berrios may be right about a “Curse of the Mambino” (“Mam damns Dem Mets,” April 21).
Giving a “warmth of collectivism” embrace to Mr. and Mrs. Met probably unloaded a boatload of bad juju onto the team, and it could take two boatloads of mojo to recover.
As for the bad juju the mayor is dumping on the rest of the city, recovery will take a lot more mojo than that.
Why do we have people like Shamar Elkins on this planet (“Killer dad was ‘fighting demons,’” April 21)?
If you’re so unhappy with your life, why would you take it out on your children and innocents?
Please, if anyone is having these kinds of dark thoughts, please seek help. God bless these children, and anyone else affected.
After gouging soccer fans up to $150 for a New Jersey Transit ride to the World Cup games, Queen Mikie Sherrill gets a free ride driven by a taxpayer-funded state trooper (“NJ gov’s free ride for Cup,” April 21).
I don’t agree that Sen. Thom Tillis should hold up Kevin Warsh’s nomination to chair the Federal Reserve Board, even though his reasons, in my mind, are justified (“Confirm Kevin Warsh — ASAP,” Editorial, April 23).
The Department of Justices’ action against Jerome Powell is simply following President Trump’s retribution against Powell for not lowering interest rates. I do not think that one senator should have the right to delay a confirmation of a nominee by himself.
I don’t understand why bullying in schools is still tolerated or ignored, if not stopped immediately — no matter how non-aggressive (“Vicious stomp of girl by 14yo,” April 24).
As we saw in the case of Lucinda Arroyo’s daughter, the bullying escalated and almost killed this poor girl. Any student that filmed the horrible vicious attack instead of calling for help should have their phones confiscated.
Schools should be places where students go to learn in a safe environment. If the school can’t accomplish that, then the wrong people are in charge.
