‘Love on the Spectrum’ stars Pari Kim and Tina Zhu Xi Caruso split

“Love on the Spectrum” stars Tina Zhu Xi Caruso and Pari Kim have gone their separate ways.

Kim made the announcement via Instagram on Friday, writing that their romantic relationship is over and they are now “friends.”

“A few people have been asking if me and Tina are still together,” the reality star wrote via Instagram Stories, with Caruso re-sharing the statement.

Kim wrote that she wanted to be “honest” with fans and let them know that “we are just friends now, two trains on different tracks, but I wish her the best and a bright, T-riffic future!”

Caruso confirmed the news via her Instagram grid. Alongside a pic of the pair on the train dressed as Elphaba and Glinda from “Wicked,” she clarified the split was “mutual” and emphasized their ongoing commitment to advocacy.

“We are like Glenda and Elphaba in the way we advocate for what we believe in,” the Netflix star wrote.

“I’m the Elphaba and I can’t wait to show the world how I advocate. Pari will continue to advocate like Glenda. I hope we can still advocate as friends for things we believe in like public transportation and disability advocacy.”

Kim took to her own Instagram grid with an extended statement on the split, as well.

“Trains come and go to all different destinations. Some may come into each other’s routes and stations then diverge and go their own separate ways just like MBTA Commuter Rail and Amtrak,” she wrote alongside a snapshot of an Amtrak train, stating it’s “okay” and “valid.”

“Both serve their own purposes,” she continued in part. “Both will reach the light at the end of the tunnel.”

She noted, “They are two different railroads on two separate lines but will always support each other when times call for it and cheer each other on from afar. The purple will continue to sparkle unapologetically and the blue will continue to show up fiercely and proudly.”

Kim concluded the statement by writing, “They both make a good team but can also shine on their own as two individuals. 💜💙🚉”

Fans in the comments thread were quick to express support for the series’ stars.

“What a beautifully accurate analogy. Love you both dearly for the remarkable individuals you are!🩷” one person wrote, while another added, “You guys are both beautiful & kind people and that will never change!!💖💖”

“My heart goes out to both you and Tina,” a third follower wrote. “I get that futures are uncertain, especially those on the spectrum when it comes to relationships, work & life in general that you never know what the outcome one of anything will be as long as you have your supporters including myself.”

Kim and Caruso, who both identify as bisexual, met during the third season of the hit series, which aired in April 2025.

Their split comes on the heels of another “Love on the Spectrum” split — after five years of dating, co-stars David Isaacman and Abbey Romeo called it quits earlier this month.

The former couple “remain friends wishing each other the best,” they told People in a joint statement.
