Two police officers were shot at a hospital on the North Side of Chicago Saturday and are in critical condition with one suspect in custody, according to reports.
Bullets flew at the Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital in the Windy City at around 10:45 a.m. with the two officers struck by bullets, according to WGN-TV.
Two police offers were injured in a shooting on the north side of Chicago at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital. The shooting happened while the officers were transporting a prisoner either to or from the hospital, the outlet reported.
The suspect was taken into custody at around noon after a manhunt, according to NBC Chicago.
“Please pray for our police officers,” Chicago Alderman Jim Gardiner said in a post on social media.
Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital was put on lockdown after the incident, NBC News reported.
