Packers sign Jayden Reed to three-year, $50M extension before day 2 of 2026 NFL Draft

A dynamic wide receiver is staying in Green Bay for the long term.

Jayden Reed and the Packers have agreed to a three-year extension worth just over $50 million, with $20 million guaranteed, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday.

Reed, who turns 26 on Tuesday, is entering the final year of his rookie-scale contract.

Reed is coming off an injury-plagued 2025, when he was limited to just 19 catches and 207 receiving yards with one touchdown across seven games.

The Packers also occasionally utilize Reed in the running game on gadget plays; he had three carries for 28 yards last year.

Reed’s breakout season came in 2024, when he accumulated over 1,000 all-purpose yards, including a career-best 857 receiving yards on 55 receptions with six touchdowns.

Reed remains in a loaded crop of Packers receivers that also include Christian Watson, Matthew Golden and Bo Melton.

Led by starting quarterback Jordan Love and former All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs, the Packers are expected to be among the more high-powered offenses in the NFL this coming season.
