New York Post Composite I love summer as much as the next girl, but no matter how hard I work out, I’ll always feel just a little bit insecure in a bathing suit.
We’ve all been there, constantly sucking in while we’re sitting or making sure our bikini strings sit higher on our hips for a more sculpted shape.
What if I told you there was a bathing suit out there where you didn’t have to suck in or constantly adjust your fit? I found that with TA3, a brand that specializes in body-contouring swimsuits.

TA3 offers a variety of one-piece swimsuits depending on the kind of coverage you’re looking for. Its most popular suit is the Sleeveless Surfy, which is available in seven different colors, including a bright red, which I own. TA3 is also extremely size-inclusive, offering fit options that run from XXS to 4X. The brand also offers petite, as well as tall sizing, which is why I think these suits fit so well, no matter your size or height.
My biggest qualm with any sort of shaping suit is that it’s either too restrictive and makes me feel like I can’t breathe, or it offers little to no shaping whatsoever — there’s no in-between. TA3 changed my mind about that and gave me that long-lost summer body confidence that I thought was the stuff of myths.
Each one-piece suit has a tie-up lace back. This is what gives you that sculpted look. Once you shimmy into your suit, pull as hard as you can on the back strings until your waist cinches. The final look is snatched and smooth with zero bunching — even when I’m seated.
For the Surfy in particular, I also love that the plunge neckline can be adjusted to your liking, depending on how much skin you want to show. Most of all, I like that it doesn’t ride up. I hate it when I buy a swimsuit, and you constantly have to make sure the coverage is just right. With TA3, once my suit is on, it’s on — no adjusting needed.
The Surdy is by far one of the best and most iconic TA3 styles available. You can shop it right now in Sveen in different colors and sizes ranging from XXS to 4X. It has the brand’s flagship shapewear built in and is also UPF 50+, which offers sun protection.
The other swimsuit I own from TA3 is the Plungey. This option, too, is available in sizes XXS to 3X, as well as three fit options. Right now, the Plungey itself is only available in two color options, but you can shop the Brazilian Plungey or the high-waist Plungey in different colors, again depending on the amount of coverage you need.
With adjustable straps and a lace-up back, this sculpted suit is just the right amount of sexy. It offers full bottom coverage and support up to a K cup. The built-in shapewear is snug and secure without feeling claustrophobic. It’s currently available in two colors and sizes ranging from XXS to 3X — although sizes are quickly selling out.
The Plungey is a much cheekier option, accentuating your curves. As a woman with a larger bust size, I actually still felt surprisingly comfortable in the Plungey, and I didn’t have to constantly adjust or tuck my chest, even with the deep neckline.
Like the Surfy, all you have to do is tug the back strings to pull in your waist and stomach in for a smooth fit. The straps here are, of course, fully adjustable too, making it easy to tighten or loosen the pressure on your chest as you see fit. I also love that these suits are built for women with bigger busts — in fact, the Plungey supports up to a K cup, which is almost unheard of in the swimsuit world.
For their fit, size inclusivity, and soft contouring fabric that doesn’t feel restrictive, TA3’s one-piece swimsuits are a big win for me. Before TA3, I always felt like I needed to cover up when I was at the pool. With TA3, those days are in the past. I genuinely feel my most confident, beautiful self in these suits.
