Anne Hathaway captivates in sheer gothic couture at ‘Mother Mary’ London screening

Anne Hatahway is making her simultaneous press tours look like an Olympic sport.

Trading her “Devil Wears Prada” heels for the gothic glamour of “Mother Mary,” Hathaway attended the London screening of the latter film, in which she plays the titular role.

For her latest appearance, Hathaway wore an Iris Van Herpen Couture gown that boasted a sheer latticework bodice and voluminous satin sleeves.

In keeping with the Dutch designer’s aesthetic, the gown was crafted of a skeletal structure that showed off Hathaway’s entire top half.

She pulled her hair back into a half-updo with soft waves and kept her jewelry very minimal, wearing just small gold hoop earrings and a gold ring.

The psycho-sexual thriller brings with it a high-fashion Lady Gaga-inspired wardrobe, filled with eye-catching couture and sculptural sheers.

As such, Hathaway’s method dressing for this film is a far cry from the Annie Hall vibe she embodies as Runway employee Andy Sachs.

She’s instead been wearing dramatic, iridescent layered gowns and embellished fishnet jumpsuits to promote “Mother Mary,” which hit theaters on April 17.

Though the looks for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” just keep coming — the cast attended a second London event Friday morning — Hathaway is certainly excelling at jumping from one wardrobe into the next with ease.
