Karol G announces ‘Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour,’ two CA shows. Get tickets

Fresh off an explosive pair of Coachella performances, the reggaeton icon announced her massive ‘Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour’ that will send her all over the globe from July 2026 to July 2027.

That includes a pair of stops in The Golden State. They’re slated to go down at:

SoFi StadiumInglewood, CAFriday, Aug. 14

Levi’s StadiumSanta Clara, CAFriday, Aug. 21

Prior to the ambitious Coachella set and tour announcement, the 35-year-old Medellin native dropped her chart-topping fifth studio album “Tropicoqueta” that spawned fan favorite tracks “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” “Verano Rosa,” “Coleccionando Heridas,” “LATINA FOREVA” and “Ivonny Bonita.”

“It ranges from a vibrant Colombian vallenato to a Mexican ranchera, bachata, merengue, pop, cumbia and her usual hard-hitting reggaeton,” Variety noted in an interview with with KAROL G.

““There’s a lot going on and these sounds and styles mean different things to different people, but I couldn’t be prouder of how it’s come together,” she said.

At Coachella, the Grammy winner — who became the first Latinx women to headline the fest in its 27-year existence — played 20+ songs both weekends, according to Set List FM. She seized the moment, too.

On top of infusing an impactful social message addressing her heritage, immigration and gender into the set, KAROL G also delivered a visual feast featuring an innovative cave-like set design, high-energy choreography and show-stopping flashing lights.

“This [is] about my Latinos who have been struggling in this country lately,” she said. “We stand for them, I stand for my Latina community. I’m proud because this brings out the best of us, unity, resilience, a strong spirit. We don’t do this because we want to take everyone out, we do this because we want everyone to feel welcome to our culture, to our music. I want everyone to feel proud of where you come from. Please don’t feel scared, feel proud. Raise your flag.”

Set List FM reported that KAROL G took 25 songs to the Coachella stage on April 19. For a closer look, you can see all of them below.

10.) “MAMIII” (Becky G x KAROL G song) (with Becky G)

16.) “Ay Vamos / Ginza / LA CANCIÓN” (J Balvin cover) (with J Balvin)

17.) “Mi gente / In da Getto” (J Balvin cover) (with Ryan Castro)

18.) “Ba Ba Bad Remix / SANKA / Tonto” (Ryan Castro cover)

20.) “TQG” (KAROL G & Shakira song)

24.) “Mi tierra” (Gloria Estefan cover)

On June 20, 2025, KAROL G dropped her fifth studio album “Tropicoqueta.”

The ambitious record starts humbly with the stripped-down “La Reina Presents,” which goes the personal, acoustic route, even going so far as to stop mid-song for a bit of cheeky banter en Espanol.

Things get a bit more polished from there. The sonically-adventurous “Ivonny Bonita” is a sultry piece of R&B with a salsa flavor that sounds more in line with Giraldo’s sound.

Shortly after, we found ourselves mesmerized by the bouncy party-starter “Papasito,” sultry club banger “LATINA FOREVA,” George Michael-sampling “Cuando Me Muera Te Olvido,” sentimental “Coleccionando Heridas” and sped-up thumper “Un Gatio Me Llamó.”

That’s not to mention the traditional, tropical “Amiga Mía” Hip-Hop bop “Bandida Entrenada,” seductive, Urge Overkill-inspired “A Su Boca La Amo (Interlude),” catchy tour-inspiring singalong “Viajando Por El Mundo” and breakout smash “Si Antes Te Hubierta Conocido,” that’s impossible not to bachata to.

She closes things with the thrilling, joyous “Tropicoqueta,” which might be the best of the very good bunch.

As noted above, KAROL G headlined at Coachella on April 12 and 19. For our money, she made a meal of her time onstage delivering a show-stopping performance full of visual flair and thoughtful social commentary both nights.
