The following year, Dv4d — whose legal name is David Burke — reportedly created a song that leaked in which he croons about a girl named “Celeste.”Rumors began to swirl among fans that D4vd was dating a 13-year-old named Celeste, according to screenshots of messages posted on fan chatrooms in 2024.

At home, Celeste — who lived in Lake Elsinore, two hours from LA — began talking about a new boyfriend named “David” and came home with a tattoo matching the singer’s, her mom told TMZ last September.
Around the same time, Celeste started running away: Her family reported her missing three times in 2024, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office told the Los Angeles Times.
Even before cops had ID’d Celeste’s body, two different Reddit users came forward with accounts of D4vd dating a girl in their local middle school. The Redditors supplied no further evidence, but one user identified the victim as “C.”“My sister who is now in 9th grade told me that [D4vd] was dating an 8th grader (let’s call her C) and she would go on trips with him to LA,” wrote the user, who did not provide his name to The Post but claimed to hail from Lake Elsinore.
An undated photo circulated online showed the artist standing in a parking lot less than a mile from Celeste’s house.
Officials have identified none of the above, nor any other specific evidence other than that her body was found in D4vd’s car in a Hollywood tow yard.But the mounting body of alleged evidence from fans and internet sleuths has yet to contradict the DA’s narrative: D4vd drew a young girl her into a sordid romance and killed her before she could talk.More photos and screenshots seem to depict their whirlwind tryst.D4vd was seen with a girl resembling Celeste on a live stream, at a video arcade, backstage at a concert, and at a swanky party.
A missing persons poster describes Celeste as wearing Hello Kitty Sandals; a photo allegedly posted by D4vd on social media shows his feet next to another set of feet in Hello Kitty-patterned Crocs.
The photo also shows a woman’s hand holding a Hello Kitty doll clipped to D4vd’s belt.
Later, D4vd posted a photo with he same doll, captioned: “when your card declines at therapy and they bring in that hello kitty girl you met in 2021.”In 2021, Celeste would have been 11 or 12 years old, at most.
