How to watch the 2026 BAFTA Awards for free in the US: Time, Streaming, Nominees

With less than a month to go until the 2026 Oscars, another big precursor ceremony is here.

The BAFTA Film Awards, presented annually by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, will honor the best of films that screened in British cinemas between January 1 and December 31, 2025 — many of which overlap with many of the nominees being recognized at awards ceremonies here in America (just like last year, all five BAFTA nominees for Best Picture also received that honor at the upcoming Academy Awards).

This year, One Battle After Another leads all films with 14 nominations, including Best Picture, Direction, and four nods in performance categories. Hamnet is close behind with 13 nominations and the Chloé Zhao-directed film also made BAFTA history as the most-nominated film by a female director. Sinners, with 11 nods is now the most-nominated film by a Black director in BAFTA history.

During the ceremony this year, Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami (a.k.a. HUNTR/X) will perform “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters, and British singer-songwriter will sing a cover of a Barbra Streisand song during the In Memoriam segment.

Americans looking to tune in to the BAFTAs from across the pond have an easy and free way to do so; keep reading to find out how.

The 2026 BAFTA Awards will air in the United States on Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. ET, but the ceremony will take place earlier in the day.

The BAFTA Awards are airing on television in the United States this year, so you’ll be able to stream the BAFTAs on E! Network.

The only way to watch the BAFTAs on E! without cable is by using a live TV streaming service. Our favorite is DIRECTV, which comes with a five-day free trial before payment begins.

DIRECTV offers a number of flexible subscription options, including Genre Packs, so you can best choose which streaming plans fit your needs and budget. Plans start at $49.99/month.

Scottish actor Alan Cumming is hosting the 2026 BAFTAs. It marks The Traitors host’s first time emceeing the BAFTA Film Awards, but he has hosted the BAFTA Television Awards in the past.
