Dicky Yau has refused further donations from the public after a viral video showed him struggling to pay the repairman in Kuala Lumpur

According to Sinar Harian, the man known as Dicky Yau was touched by the concern shown by social media users who had offered to extend financial help to him after seeing the situation he was in.
“I would like to thank everyone who sent private messages to offer help. However, I cannot accept any donations from anyone,” he said in a social media post on Saturday.
“If there is any account asking for donations using my name, it is fake. Thanks everyone for your concern.”
Yau said his motorcycle had already been repaired by the owner of a TikTok account.
He said any donations received would be given to the mechanics featured in the TikTok account, who are known for their efforts to help motorcyclists stranded due to vehicle breakdowns, even in the dead of the night.
“Next week, I will look for that brother [mechanic]. I will give these TikTok live gifts to that brother so he can help others,” Yau said.
