Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) is now facing a probe by the House Committee on Ethics over accusations of sexual misconduct.
“The Committee … has begun an investigation and will gather additional information regarding the allegations that Representative Eric Swalwell violated the Code of Official Conduct or any law,” the panel announced Monday.
Late last week, multiple bombshell reports broke that Swalwell, who is married, had sexual relations with four women — including subordinates who were much younger than him.

Swalwell has since dropped his bid for California governor and is facing calls to resign or be expelled.
