Kim Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images With spring training games already underway, it means the baseball season is quickly approaching. Catcher can be a make-or-break position for your squad, but there are plenty of backstops capable of solid production — and many won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

According to Fantasy Alarm, which tracks the average draft positions across leagues on RT Sports, Fantrax, NFBC, Yahoo and ESPN, five catcher-eligible players — Cal Raleigh (14.38), William Contreras (57.34), Ben Rice (69.54), Shea Langeliers (68.88) and Hunter Goodman (93.46) — are being selected in the top 100 picks.

Good news: You don’t have to select any of them to build a successful team.
