The legendary ’80s hitmaker just announced he’s striking out on a nationwide run from early August through late September that he’s dubbed ‘It’s A Nice Day To Tour Again.’
While out and about, the “White Wedding” singer will headline a pair of shows in New York. They’re scheduled to take place at:
Darien Lake AmphitheaterDarien Center, NYFriday, Aug. 14
Empower Federal Credit Union AmphitheaterSyracuse, NYSaturday, Aug. 15
Other Northeastern dates include gigs at Scranton, PA’s The Pavilion at Montage Mountain (Aug. 7) and Uncasville, CT’s Mohegan Sun Arena (Aug. 8).

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one concert was $51 including fees on StubHub.
Tickets start at $61 including fees for his Syracuse show.
This outing comes on the heels of the release of the Rock Hall of Fame nominee’s ninth studio album “Dream Into It,” which hit shelves in April 2025. Notable tracks on the record include “77,” a duet with Avril Lavigne and the throwback rocker “Still Dancing.”
Last summer, the sneering icon took “Dream Into It” on the road and played arenas all over the world including a night at Madison Square Garden.
According to Set List FM, he played 16 songs at the Knicks’ home including fan favorites like “Rebel Yell,” “Dancing With Myself,” “Eyes Without A Face,” “Mony Mony” and, of course, “White Wedding.”
“Throughout the set, it was apparent that Idol was having a great time, and so was the audience. The 69-year-old rocker sounded and looked amazing as he belted out his classic songs, and shared anecdotes about New York City throughout his career,” Consequence wrote in a glowing review of the night at MSG.

Prior to kicking off the run, Idol is swooping into Prior Lake, MN for the annual Lakefront Music Festival.
This year’s edition goes down July 10-11 at the Lakefront Music Fest Grounds and features big names like Keith Urban, George Thorogood and The Destroyers, Jackson Dean, Jefferson Starship and Karley Scott Collins.

He closes things with the party-starting epic “Still Dancing,” which shares more than a bit of musical DNA with “White Wedding.”
