What to buy during the Sephora Savings Event, per a beauty editor

New York Post Composite The Sephora Savings Event is back starting April 10, and it’s one of the best times of the year to stock up on beauty favorites.

As a beauty reporter with over five years of experience, I’ve spent countless hours testing, swatching and reviewing nearly every foundation, eyeliner pencil, blow dryer and cleanser that lines the shelves. I know what’s worth the splurge, what performs beyond its price tag and what you can confidently skip. I also write a beauty column regularly with the hottest products, tricks and exclusives.

That’s exactly why this sale is so exciting; it’s a rare chance to grab the products that truly deliver at a meaningful discount.

This year’s Sephora Savings Event offers tiered savings depending on your membership status:

Whether you’re restocking everyday staples or finally investing in a long-coveted luxury item, there’s an opportunity to save at every level.

Over the course of the event, I’ll be highlighting the very best editor-reviewed deals (you know, the products that have earned a permanent spot in my routine and consistently outperform the hype) so you don’t have to sift through hundreds of options. Think of it as your curated guide to shopping smarter, not harder, during Sephora’s biggest spring sale.

After recently reviewing the entire Rhode lineup, the Pocket Blush is a product I’ve been recommending to everyone. It’s the easiest blush to apply, leaving a natural flush that lasts quite a while. Plus, it quite literally fits in your pocket — so I bring it with me everywhere.

Listen, I know toner pads are all the rage, but until you’ve tried the Biodance Collagen Gel Toner Pads, you haven’t experienced one of the most glow-inducing to exist. I’m a big fan of the brand’s overnight sheet mask (of course, I reviewed it), and these soft pads are just as good.

I’m going to die on this hill: the Tarte Tartelette Lengthening & Tubing Mascara is the absolute *best* mascara (and trust me, I’ve tried pretty much every single one). The way it separates, lengthens and volumizes all in one is beyond compare. If you’re going to spend money on a high-end mascara and skip the drugstore, let it be this one.

There are certainly upscale blow dryers out there — like the Dyson Airwrap and Shark FlexStyle — but I find this $100 option from amika one of the easiest to use. It’s the reason for my 10-minute blowout, helps tame frizz and always travels with me. Now, you can score it for less during the Sephora Savings Event, depending on your membership tier.

In essence, most concealers do their job and you don’t think twice about them. This one from Kosas is vegan, hydrating and packed with caffeine to help de-puff your eye area. For that, it’s a win. For that, it doesn’t leave my makeup bag.

If you ever saw my lip product collection, you’d think I robbed 100 Sephora stores. Sure, there are endless options, but the MAKE UP FOR EVER Super Boost Moisturizing & Plumping Lip Gloss is one I’ve been reaching for on repeat. It simply gives the most gorgeous sheen and true plump to your lips.

The T3 Lucea 1 ½-inch Professional Straightening and Styling Iron is the only hair straightener I’m using right now, period. It doesn’t tug on my hair, has smoothing plates and is the ideal purchase to grab at a discount during the Sephora Savings Event.

Among all of the haircare brands I’ve tried, I’m pleased with everything I’ve been using so far from AAVRANI. This brand offers hydrating, effective formulas — and its hair mask is one I’ve been using on repeat, along with its Scalp Detox Jelly Cleanser that’s so good, it’s currently out of stock.

Ellis Brooklyn has some of the loveliest fragrances, with Isla Sirena its newest offering. With scent notes of coconut and lime, it’s the refreshing yet dainty option that I’ve been wearing on repeat.

I’ve gone through *so* many tubes of this tinted moisturizer and it’s one of the best ones for dry and sensitive skin. With SPF 30, it doubles as a face sunscreen that balances out my skin. It’s gentle and worth the Sephora Savings Event stock-up right now.

Whether you’re hopping on a plane or enjoying a self-care night at home, the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Eye Patches are the ideal complement to your routine. They’re exceptional for dark circles and come in a 6-pack for $24 or a 15-pack for $50. I love under-eye patches, and you should definitely get some while they’re on sale.

Korean sunscreens are some of my favorites — and the belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Sunscreen SPF 45 is the one I reach for the most. Not only does it contain more than the dermatologist-recommended SPF 30, but it also doesn’t leave a white cast and doubles as your best moisturizer.

This is the heat protectant I’ve been using since middle school and one that I’ve repurchased time and again. It doubles as a frizz-reducing leave-in conditioner as well, so it’s the only post-shower product you need before styling.

For a luxurious experience, Nécessaire’s The Body Wash has a dreamy, decadent eucalyptus fragrance that’s not overpowering; it’s the ideal spa retreat. While it’s on sale, pick up this value size and display it in your bathroom for a rich feel.

I never thought I’d be obsessed with a hand sanitizer, but obviously I’m on the Touchland train. There are limitless scents, and they’re $10 a pop. Now’s the ideal time to buy a bunch at a Sephora-wide discount.
